I'm pregnant!

That's all I'm going to say at the moment. Hell, it's about all I can say, since I still don't really believe it myself...although the nausea is a pretty constant reminder.

Sorry I've been away for so long. I didn't have Internet access until about two weeks ago, which is about how long I've known. I'll try to fill in the blanks later.

Hooray! Woo hoo! Yay yay yay! Yippee Skippy! Wonderful! Congrats, Mama! I'm sooooo happy for you... a whole new chapter in your Book of Life is about to begin. I can't wait to hear the details!

I will not be smug, as I got a phone call (cabbage patch).

Best advice: become proficient with your "off" hand. I carried Morgan on my left arm so that I could lead with my right. You would be the opposite. :) Learn to juggle. Have LOTS of towels on hand and wear old shirts. Buy stock in your favourite laundry detergent. Never underestimate the importance of burping or bum ointment. Tummy-aches and rashes make babies cranky.

The "What to expect during..." books are great. If you don't have them, tell me, I shall send them straight away. (pause) I've looked and can't find them on the Internet. But, there wasn't an Internet when I was becoming a parent, so you may not need silly old books.

I wish that I was closer, so I could help, but you will rock as you are mah-va-lous.

"We can do it it right up until the third trimester" -- 'Jay' from "Dogma"

Fletcherina is a nice name for a girl.

DD: Damn, woman, you're more excited than I am!! :) Nah, not quite, but thank you for the encouragement. I've read that ambivalence is normal at the start of a pregnancy, and it has been a bit difficult getting excited about it with everything else that's also happening...more on that later.

Fletcher: I didn't know burn ointment worked for rashes...thanks for the tip! I have What to Expect When You're Expecting and the What to Expect pregnancy journal/organizer (which I'm not really using yet, but I'll get around to it when I find a doctor). I was flipping through WTE First Year and WTE Toddler Years in the bookstore, and will probably put them on my baby shower list, if someone hasn't gotten them for me already... :)

And you're right, we could do it up until the third trimester, but I think you've got your hands full with your new elf-maid...I heard you two giggling and carrying on last time I was up, and I was supremely jealous!!

If it's a girl, I'm calling her Kaia. You, however, can give her whatever nickname you see fit.

BUM (as in bottom, posterior, rear end) ointment. :) Desitin was my cream of choice!

Yes, my elf-maid keeps me active, but I'll take a pill if I must, to keep up. >:) Laws of hospitality, after all.

Kaia is beautiful. I would never use Fletcherina as a nick-name. Too cruel.

Off to the shop!
